With the rise of fast food, picnic’s have taken a backseat to drive-through restaurants in recent years, but to me the picnic has always been the recipe for the ultimate family day out. Consider the facts: a picnic has all the ingredients for quality family time:
- Dining on a budget.
- The great outdoors.
- Yummy, homemade treats.
- Finger food.
The word picnic brings back memories of going on car rallies as a family when we were growing up. We’d have our picnic in the boot of our car and we’d spend the whole road trip looking forward to eating it when we arrived at our destination.
