The tone and feel of a house is set at its front door and, even in Helen’s small apartment, we were able to introduce an industrial flavour from the moment she opened her Exclusive Hardware front door into the entrance hallway with its Godfrey Hirst flooring and Taubmans wall and ceiling paint, creating an instantly industrial feel from which the rest of the apartment flows.

Helen’s compact office space, created by Seaview Cabinets joinery, with the build by Nick Howse, is a champion of ‘tiny living’ design with the necessary nod to industrial style. The Corinthian panel doors of Helen’s study nook are representative of the slatted wood doors you might find in a factory and the leather handles, and the storage box on the door with its exposed wheels, make this space both functional and simple.

The Hay Design accessories and Yas’ choice of light, with its cord out on display and grey finish that echoes raw metal, lend an industrial feel.
