Well that is what is says on their website anyway!

Glam from the moment you walk in.
Silly season means indulging in food and wine as you toast the year gone & hope for the year ahead with friends, family and work associates. Yesterday I was lucky enough to be taken out to lunch with a group of other associates to Ananas brasserie that filled the visual senses as much as the taste buds. The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the sense of opulence & glamour but with a sense of fun and not taking itself too seriously.
Everywhere you looked there was a new sight to behold with the running theme of pineapples and birds. My eye was snapping ‘vignettes’ at high shutter speed as the waiters led us to the table and by the time I got there I’d forgotten we were there to eat.

No need to feel alone if you are there by yourself, there is a bird in every window.

Plantation of pineapples
Before we started to dine of course I had to check out the toilets and that did not disappoint! (I even sneaked a peak in the men’s when everyone left to get a look)

Flamingos for the ladies

and a quirky vanity.

And cockatoos for the boys!
So once you take in the interior the food begins and I tell you it didn’t disappoint. Sorry, I have no food pics as by the time the food came I was famished and so caught up in the moment but I can tell you the food is divine! We had a set menu of 4 courses at nouvelle cuisine portions, which I can tell is the perfect amount for lunch and for this time of year of not wanting to over indulge.

For a visual feast, a taste bud explosion and incredible service this is one place in The Rocks, Sydney you must check out!

It’s all about the pineapples! ( I do recommend the pineapple ‘ravioli’ ice-cream dessert)
