Temple & Webster and Inside Out magazine have joined together for a new competition called “Emerging Designers Award Series”.
Home grown talent is close to my heart as in this fabulous country we have an incredible melting pot of talented designers that work in large companies, bespoke boutiques, pop-up shops and our weekend markets brim with unique and well crafted ideas.
Ten homeware and furniture designers have been shortlisted by Temple & Webster and Inside Out magazine, and then the voting will be open to the public in January 2013 so you can have your say of what you like. This isn’t just a competition to say ‘nice’ and ‘like’ as a tag as you do in Facebook but your vote helps support design AND will show what items you would love to see in your home.
So raise your voting finger and really take an interest in the designer and their product as you could be selecting the next best thing in design.
Now I’m not going to put my influence in and tell you my favourite so far as there are only 6 profiles so far up so check them out and support our local design talent and get ready to vote in 2013!
