The ‘magical mystery tour’ of Max and Kirby’s house started in the hallway. Peeling off the Band-Aids of previous renovations gone bad revealed original period wooden wall detail features, which immediately connected with the mirrored panels in the front of the hallway.

I then painted the entry frames in Taubmans charcoal colour, which made the mirrors blend in more with the wall and allowed them to reflect the new Mokum fabric in the dining room – bringing a new colour into the hallway.

Additional texture and colour has been incorporated through the Urban Road artwork, Bisque Interiors Bisque Interiors pendant light and Meizai octopus mirror.

This space is deliberately simple. Its sparseness is a balance to the fullness of adjoining rooms and is a soft entry into a house that is packed of personality and fun.
